Be Careful What You Ask For
At the end of 2018, I prayed and asked God for some things. Specifically, I prayed for God to take me deeper in Him, but without me having to experience a tragedy or major crisis. I knew what I was asking for, but knowing what comes with such a request and going through the process are two totally different things. 2019 has been an extremely challenging year for me. However, it has been absolutely critical in my growth. My faith and patience have been tested in ways that I never imagined possible. I didn’t talk about it, because I knew that in order to get what I desired, I had to just grow through it.
A few months ago, during one of my darkest moments, I heard this song and it changed the game for me. As I listened to the lyrics, the words began to minister to the deepest and darkest place in me. I began to REMEMBER ALL of the things that God has brought me through in the past, ALL of the times that He has made a way and how extremely faithful He has always been to me. The more I remembered, the stronger I began to feel and the weaker my storms appeared. The journey has been painful but it was absolutely necessary and worth it. My praise and worship are on a much deeper level now and it only continues to go deeper. I have literally seen God’s hands on EVERY situation that I needed Him to touch.

I want you to think about the “thing” you once thought you couldn’t survive or get through, BUT GOD. I pray that as you began to remember God’s faithfulness that this song blesses your life, changes your perspective and strengthens your faith. REMEMBER, that no matter how impossible your situation appears or how bad it hurts right now, that GOD is STILL GOD! Whatever it is, God CAN and He WILL DO IT AGAIN!!! You just have to TRUST HIM!!!!
